The MiG Corporation has developed and patented a system to limit the maximum flight modes of a fighter to prevent it from getting into a tailspin. This system is currently implemented in the Mig 35 and the MiG-29M/M2. Compared to the previous mechanical model of limited installed in the previous models of fighters – the MiG-23 and MiG-29 which prevented the pilot from fully controlling the exit of the aircraft to the maximum operating mode, the modern limiter system will allow the pilot will be able to stay within the permissible overload parameters in any flight mode.

The MiG Corporation have been improving the limiter of flight modes of maneuverable aircraft for the last five years. The difficulty lay in the fact that it was necessary to keep within the limit parameters in the entire area of maneuvering without deteriorating the technical properties of the fighter. The tests were carried out in a variety of flight modes. Now the company are confident that they have managed to achieve their goal. The patented integrated system improves the tactical and technical performance of MiG fighters.

Furthermore, the developed system includes multiple innovative units, drives, and systems. The system is also installed with navigation and measuring complexes. The new aircraft landing system has undergone flight tests and proved effective with the pilot’s positive assessment. Integration work is currently ongoing with a focus on the aviation hardware’s safety and effectiveness. This innovative technology will also be integrated into new aircraft developed by MiG.
