Representatives of the PGZ-PILICA Consortium, which consists of PGZ Group companies: PGZ S.A., PIT-RADWAR S.A., PCO S.A. and Zaklady Mechaniczne Tarnow, responsible for the implementation of the program to acquire the PILICA Anti-aircraft Missile-Artillery Systems (PSR-A) handed the first of the six ordered sets over to the Polish Armed Forces. The sets were accepted on the premises of the Third Warsaw Air Defense Missile Brigade from Sochaczew. On the part of the consortium, the keys together with equipment log books were handed over by Dariusz Gwizda, member of the Management Board of PGZ S.A. and Brig. Gen. Kazimierz Dynski, commander of the Third Air Defense Missile Brigade. This is confirmed by the delivery of the PILICA system, which also demonstrates readiness for deploying further air defense programs such as NOTEĆ, but also the key program.
Henryk Labedz , President of the Management Board of Zaklady Mechaniczne Tarnow S.A said,”Due to the increasing use of unmanned systems, also for operations below the war threshold, more and more formations are starting to make use of artillery sets. PSR-A PILICA is an ideal answer to these threats coaxial 23 mm cannons and modern GROM/PIORUN missiles, combined with modern optoelectronics and the new C2 system create an extremely effective set belonging to the VSHORAD class. I am proud that thanks to the commitment and conscientious work of talented engineers from ZM Tarnow it was possible to deliver an interpretive OPL system, which has already confirmed the possibility of integration with OPL systems of subsequent layers

We provide the soldiers with equipment tailored to their needs, fully meeting their requirements. We believe that the future will bring us a lot more of such celebrations, both in terms of supplying further systems of this class, as well as other solutions created by PGZ for anti-aircraft troops”.
PSR-A PILICA will work with command and anti-air defense systems of NATO countries, and its purchase will be yet another step towards reinforcing Poland’s anti-air defense capabilities. Tne nesh short-range air defense system developed by the PGZ-PILICA Consortium as the system integrator. The agreement assumes the delivery of 6 sets of the PILICA systems. A single system consists of: 6 air-defense fire units including artillery tractors, a command station, a radar station, 2 transport vehicles and 2 ammunition vehicles. Each air-defense fire unit of the PSR-A PILICA system consists of two 23 mm caliber automatic cannons and two GROM/PIORUN anti-aircraft missile launchers. Each set has its own optoelectronic head with a thermal imaging camera and laser rangefinder. This configuration provides the PILICA system with the ability to perform autonomous operations, but also to operate within an integrated, multi-layered anti-aircraft defense as a very short range system (VSHORAD).
