FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Åž. (FNSS), a joint venture company owned 51 percent by Nurol Holding Inc. and 49 percent by BAE Systems Inc., is a leading manufacturer and supplier of tracked and wheeled armoured vehicles and weapon systems for the Turkish and Allied Armed Forces. FNSS has proved its competency in designing and developing all terrain armored tracked and wheeled vehicles specialized with advanced amphibious capabilities by delivering them to the Turkish Armed Forces and Armed Forces worldwide. FNSS also holds the AQAP-2010, which is the highest level of quality assurance certification from NATO, and has been awarded BVQI quality certification ISO 9001-2008.

Starting off by manufacturing Armoured Combat Vehicles (ACV) in 1988, FNSS has today become a world class company capable of designing and manufacturing a broad range of land systems, modernising existing vehicles, and providing the necessary training and integrated logistic support for these systems. The company was established in 1988 to manufacture 1698 each Armored Combat Vehicles (ACV’s) for Turkish Armed Forces under a direct commercial contract with the Undersecretariat of Defense Industries (SSM). The ACV-15 is a light combat tracked armored vehicle developed to meet the requirement of the Turkish Army for a heavily armored vehicle in the 13-15t class that is able to operate alongside tanks in a combined arms team. The ACV AD Air Defense Platform has an increased power pack performance and an improved suspension capability compared to the ACV-15 and the ACV-19. AACE is an amphibious, armored, tracked, combat earthmover to be used for preparation of the river banks in crossing over operations.

With the PARS, FNSS has developed a new generation of Wheeled Armored Combat Vehicles in 6×6 and 8×8 configurations with a special emphasis on mobility, protection, payload and growth potential. FNSS has named the vehicle PARS, which in Turkish means Leopard. PARS is designed not only to have a high level of ballistic and mine resistance, but also carry a variety of weapon stations and provide a high internal volume, which allows for a full complement of infantry soldiers with all of their equipment. The AAAB System is a bridge and ferry system designed for Turkish Armed Forces’ fast and safe transport through the rivers in the battlefield.

KAPLAN is a new generation armored fighting vehicle that has the ability to move together with main battle tanks, and has 10, 20 and 30 ton configurations, taking into account the weight of the communication system and the automatic transmission. In addition, up to date electronic subsystems are also integrated together with high performance power pack, heavy duty suspension and tracks which enable the vehicle to carry heavy loads such as 35 mm gun systems. Thanks to the two water propulsion systems located at the rear of the vehicle, KAPLAN can perform in deep and fast flowing waters. Marine Assault Vehicle (MAV) is developed to meet the amphibious armored vehicle requirement of the Turkish Navy.
