The Russian Ministry of Defense published a video of the combat exercises of rocket and anti-aircraft gunners of the Central Military District. Near Yekaterinburg, the calculations of Iskander-M systems worked out the deployment of launchers in designated areas and conducted electronic missile launches. In Tajikistan, servicemen of the 201st Russian military base have recently mastered the S-300 air defense system. In the Novosibirsk Region, the calculations of the Pantsir-S1 air defense system worked out the technique of repelling air attacks.

The 9K720 Iskander-M is a mobile short-range ballistic missile system produced and deployed by the Russian Federation. Variant for the Russian Armed Forces with two 9M723 quasi ballistic missiles with published range 415 km, rumoured 500 km. Speed Mach 6-7, flight altitude up to 6–50 km, nuclear capable stealth missile, controlled at all stages, not ballistic flight path. Immediately after the launch and upon approach to the target, the missile performs intensive maneuvering to evade anti-ballistic missiles. The missile constantly maneuvers during flight as well.

The S-300 (NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble) is a series of initially Soviet and later Russian long range surface-to-air missile systems produced by NPO Almaz, based on the initial S-300P version. The Pantsir-S1 (NATO reporting name SA-22 Greyhound) is the first version and is a combined short to medium range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon system produced by KBP of Tula, Russia. The system is a further development of 2K22 Tunguska and represents the latest air defence technology by using phased array radars for both target acquisition and tracking.
