The integration of SAMSON 30 Unmanned Turret with TROPHY APS and SPIKE LR1/2 ATGMs, adds significant capabilities to the fighting vehicle and crew as well as to the formation. This all-in-one system can locate the fire source, enabling the crew to return fire effectively with a SAMSON 30 Unmanned Turret or by interfacing with other fighting platforms via the BMS network. In addition to a 30mm automatic cannon, two multi-purpose guided missiles, coax machine gun, the new turret integrates two independent sights, recessed launchers for smoke grenades and complete Trophy APS system. This exceptional combination of the SAMSON 30 Unmanned Turret, with 40 years of global success that has set the standard around the world – with the SPIKE LR 2 together with TROPHY APS – is a uniquely powerful solution that delivers unmatched maneuverability.

The introduction of Trophy in a standard turret configuration, compatible with evolving APS standards will be adaptable to new vehicles in the production process thus enable vehicle designers and users the ability to introduce active protection in a more affordable and streamlined process, saving significant excessive modification costs. The world’s first operational and only combat-proven APS, Trophy is designed to protect armored combat vehicles from all shaped charge type threats, including guided missiles and RPGs. For lighter vehicles requiring protection only from RPG RAFAEL also offers a near-field active protection system known as ‘Trophy LV’. RAFAEL integrated the Trophy system on a number of vehicles, including Merkava Mk3, Merkava Mk4 and M-1A2 SPE2 main battle tanks, Namer, Stryker and Piranha 3 APCs.

Spike-LR I/II is a new generation of the original Spike fire-and-forget anti-tank guided missile and anti-personnel missile with a tandem-charge HEAT warhead. Spike-LR II (called in Israel, Gil 2) has reduced weight to 12.7 kg (28 lb), increased range of 5.5 km (3.4 mi) at ground level and 10 km (6.2 mi) from helicopters using an RF data-link, warhead options of tandem HEAT with 30% increased armor penetration or a multipurpose blast warhead with selectable impact or penetration detonation fusing, a new seeker that includes an uncooled IR sensor with a smart target tracker with artificial intelligence features, the ability to fire on grid target coordinates using an inertial measurement unit for third party-target allocation, and is compatible with legacy launchers. The missile is designed with a counter-active protection system (CAPS) capability, being able to hit targets at higher impact angles of up to 70 degrees.
