The K9 Thunder is the world’s most advanced self-propelled howitzer. The K9 boasts excellent performance with a long shooting range for fire combat and a fast firing speed for real-time, quick-focused fire power. It is a unit capable of quick displacement after shooting, and has excellent maneuverability and survivability. In addition, Hanwha have developed customized self-propelled howitzer that meets the requirements of various countries as well as NATO standards. Its operational capability is excellent in a range of environments, from deserts to snowy fields, and it is being exported to overseas countries.
The K10 Ammunition Resupply Vehicle is the world’s first automated robotic ammunition carrier. It supplies ammunition to the K9 Thunder Self-propelled Howitzer. The K10 Ammunition Resupply Vehicle is an automated robotic unit that can reload ammunition by taking ammunition from the ammunition depot or truck and transporting it to where the K9 Thunder Self-propelled Howitzer is located.
The K77 Fire Direction Center Vehicles are armored vehicles for the command and control of artillery units and fire control and to maximize the artillery power by assigning fast and accurate shooting missions on the acquired targets.
The K55A1 self-propelled howitzer is the upgraded variant of K55 self-propelled howitzer. The K55A1 has been improved to adapt to future operational environments. The self-propelled howitzer K55A1 uses the same automatic gun laying/fire control system and inertial navigation system that is in K9 and used in the K55 but improved for better continuous fire rate, reactivity and survivability.
The K56 Ammunition Resupply Vehicle is a robot-type ammunition carrier that automatically supplies ammunition to the K55A1 Self-propelled Howitzer. The performance of the K55 self-propelled howitzer has improved with an automatic gun laying turret that has a higher shooting range/firing rate. The K56 is a robotic unit developed to automatically, quickly, and safely supply ammunition for the K55A1 self-propelled artillery.
The K105 HT (EVO-105) is a self-propelled 105mm towed howitzer armed on a 5-ton truck. It is equipped with an automatic fire control system and positioning system. The K105 HT is a weapon system with fast shooting and displacement, essential for engaging the enemy in advanced modern warfare. K105 HT is an automated system that is different from current towed artilleries. It can be operated with a 5-person team as opposed to the typical 9-person team with other older models and still provide better artillery firepower. The K105 HT is also a new concept weapon system with a lower acquisition cost, having been recycled from conventional towed artilleries and ammunitions.
The KAAV (Korea Amphibious Assault Vehicle) is an amphibious troop transport that can provide assault shipping in sea to combat support on land. The KAAV was first introduced in 1998 and since then, has been highly valued for its versatility, maneuverability and for increasing survivability of troops. It serves the Korean Marine Corps as its core landing power. The KAAV-â…¡, currently under development, will improve the maritime mobility, firepower and defense capabilities of the KAAV. Its long-range, high-speed landing assault capabilities will be upgraded so it can quickly penetrate into enemy camp. The KAAV-II like its predecessor, is expected to replace the KAAV as the core power of the future Marine Corps.
