The second of up to two SIGMA 10514 PKR frigates for the Indonesian Navy has successfully completed its sea trials, which will be the future KRI Gusti Ngurah Rai 332 Frigates. Two SIGMA 10514 Perusak Kawal Rudal (PKR) guided-missile frigates are being built by PT PAL Indonesia, in collaboration with Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) for the Indonesian Navy. Frigates are designed to perform various missions, including patrolling the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of Indonesia, deterrence, maritime security, search-and-rescue, anti-surface, and electronic and anti-air warfare.

The guided-missile frigate is armed with a close-in weapon system, a 76mm medium-calibre gun, two SSM launchers, and a 12-cell vertical launch short-range air defence system (VL SHORADS). The basic design of the Sigma Patrol Series can vary as the hull segments are designed as components. Ships can vary in the number of hull segments and in the order in which they are placed. Sigma stands for Ship Integrated Geometrical Modularity Approach. The ship’s main dimensions are named in the types itself, the SIGMA 10514, is 105 metres (344 ft 6 in) in length with a beam of 14 meters. Indonesia Navy already has four SIGMA 9113 Diponegoro-class corvettes in active service from 2009.
